New York Fashion Week Highlights Part 2

Back for another round up with part 2 of my review of New York Fashion Week.  The beginning of the shows brought some great designers, but the the best was yet to come with Jason Wu and Christian Siriano from Project Runway fame, so excited to share them with you!  I may have to add a part 3, I think there may be too many to highlight, so sit back and enjoy.

First I just wanted to call out Alexander Wang who is celebrating his 10 year anniversary with this collection.  There were very few dresses in the collection, but really focused on trouser looks with a lot of edge and showed both male and female looks.

Jason Wu
A lot of people know Jason Wu for designing some of Michele Obama's best looks, but he is definitely making a name for himself, and offered some amazing dresses, offering a muted color palette with forest green, black, white, and red.  Dresses also featured sheer fabrics and ruffles.

Monique Lhuillier
Designer Monique Lhuillier always offers beautiful dresses, perfect for parties, weddings, special events.  For SS16 there was a sea of flowers and bold colors, which were amazingly structured.

Christian Siriano
I loved Christian Siriano when he was on Project Runway, and I was always so happy for him when I would see one of his dresses on someone at the Oscars.  He has made quite a name for himself since Project Runway starting his own label and soon to come out a collaboration with Lane Bryant.  He showed lots of dresses, most in white and lots of drama.
